Medals for Glory 2010 Announcement
It appears that the current economic climate has negatively impacted interest in Medals for Glory 2010. Limited registration levels and reduced financial support for the ministry compared to previous MFG campaigns required us to re-evaluate our capability to fulfill financial obligations that a ministry this size brings with it. Following careful review of these important factors, and with much prayer for guidance, the Medals for Glory 2010 Planning Team determined that it would be unwise stewardship to continue to contract for support services in Vancouver. With great regret, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, we canceled Medals for Glory 2010. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment or difficulty this may create for our ministry partners. We will gladly provide Information about alternate ministry opportunities at the 2010 Winter Olympics for any who would like to have our assistance. Our desire to see a strong gospel witness delivered to the Olympic crowds is not diminished.
